Dean Stott, former British Special Forces Soldier and Ambassador for the Gratitude Games.

Dean Stott is a former British Special Forces Soldier who left the military after suffering a severe knee injury in a parachuting accident in 2011. He then established a distinguished career in the private security sector; he was renowned for his willing to take on any job, no matter how dangerous. This was evident in 2014 when Dean singlehandedly evacuated the Canadian Embassy from Libya to Tunis.

However, in 2016 Dean was ready for a new project and wanted to use this to help others. He began training to cycle the longest motorable road in the world – The Pan American Highway. Dean completed the 14,000-mile route from Argentina to Alaska in May 2018, gaining two world records and becoming the first man in history to cycle the road in under 100 days and smashing the former world record by 17 days. As well as this amazing endurance feat, Dean helped to raise £900,000 for mental health charities within the Heads Together campaign in the process.

Dean left the military in 2011 after 16 years honourable years of service but continues to live by the Special Forces ethos of "The unrelenting pursuit of excellence" the determination required throughout his career has become an integral part of Dean's character. Dean continues to push the boundaries of physical and mental endurance as in 2020 he will become the first person in history to kayak the length of the River Nile from Source to Sea.
